Tharoor says not in hurry to hang Kasab

India in no hurry to hang Kasab: Tharoor

Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor on Saturday rejected a suggestion about hanging Ajmal Amir Kasab, the sole surviving Mumbai terror accused in Indian custody, saying there was no hurry to do so and that India will follow the "democratic judicial process" in the case.

"We have a surviving terrorist. We are in no hurry to do anything to him quickly as he is a vital source of information," Tharoor said when asked why India was not hanging Kasab quickly to set an example for others.

"There is a democratic judicial process, and we will follow it," he said.

Kasab, the lone surviving Pakistani terrorist undergoing trial for the 26/11 attacks, made another U-turn Friday by denying his role in the Mumbai mayhem and recanted his confessions made earlier in the court.

I agree with Shashi Tharoor that we cannot afford the hang Kasab.
We will allow him to boss over his jailers and give him royal treatment at the tax payers expense.
He will then file a mercy petition to the President of India who will keep it pending saying that there are n no of petitions pending ahead of Kasabs.
They will they play vote bank politics to get the Muslim votes or until some other terrorist group comes up and kidnaps some home ministers daughter and ask that Kasab be released in exchange or maybe some plane is hijacked to Pakistan or China and Kasab exchanged.
Instead of trying to impress the whole world with our slow judicial system why don't we follow the Israeli system of punishing the perpetrators of terrorist activities swiftly.
HANG THEM! and HANG THEM FAST!
We are fed-up of your vote bank politics.
