More States, More Corruption

Bihar’s top three politicians back demand for smaller states

Patna,(BiharTimes): A day after chief minister Nitish Kumar declared his support for smaller states, RJD chief Lalu Yadav and LJP president, Ram Vilas Paswan, also backed the demand for smaller states in the country.

Lalu said that his party always stood for the smaller states, as it is easy to manage and administer them. Curiously, Lalu was initially dead against the bifurcation of Bihar.

Paswan, on the other hand, said that the Socialists always stood for the smaller states and said that he personally went a couple of times to Andhra Pradesh to lend support to the cause of Telengana raised by Chandrashekar Rao.

Meanwhile, the chief minister Nitish Kumar on Friday once again called for the division of bigger states such as Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh etc. He said that like the bifurcation of Bihar bigger states too should be partitioned.

There is near unanimity among these leaders of Bihar for the demand of the constitution of second States’ Reorganization Commission. The first SRC was constituted in the mid-1950s under the chairmanship of Justice Fazal Ali.

The clamour for smaller states made by politicians like Lalu Yadav, Mayawati and others is nothing but a ploy to increase supply of loaves so that more corrupt politicians can share the loot.
If the British could rule India efficiently from 6000 Km away I don't see why people cannot be ruled from one end of UP to another which is only 800 Km
The basic reaon is corruption.
These people just want to make money.
Bihar was bifurcated into Jharkhand.
Has it improved the lot of the people of Jharkhand.
Has it improved the GDP of Jharkhand from what it was earlier.
No.
But it has increased the corruption.
The more states you have the more Kodas you will have.
Administration will not improve. That will improve only if we have less corruption.
Let there be no more bifucation of states.
Just be fair to all the people of your states.
When you leave pockets which are disgruntled then you will have trouble and you should not blame that on the size of the states.
Even if you make states of all the districts in the country, things will not improve, but corruption will increase.
More politicians will become millionaires and billionaires but the condition of the common people will deteriorate.
