Andhra Pradesh governor ND Tiwari has landed in a major scandal with a local TV channel telecasting damning footage showing him in compromising position with three women.

The TV channel telecast showed an old man, purportedly Tiwari, lying on the bed with the women bent over him. All three women are shown naked, one sat at his legs and another rone kissing his mouth. One women is said to be pregnant and another one in her teen.

TC channel ABN Andhra Jyothi stopped telecast of the footage following High court order . But that was one year after the channel was watched by millions of viewers..

The telecast of the footage has shocked the nation and evoked angry reaction from politicians and women organizations. Hundreds of women staged dharna outside Andhra Raj Bhavan and tried to enter but security persons prevented them.

Immediately after the telecast of the pictures, Tiwari’s lawyer brought a stay notice over the photographs following which, the channel removed all photographs immediately.

Meanwhile, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has demanded the resignation of the Governor over alleged photographs.

Talking to media persons, Naidu said, “This incident reflects the level of ethics going down.”

He urged the President to immediately sack Tiwari and take action against him.

After Tiger Woods case here is something which may sustain the interest of Indians.
What I don't understand is when a man has been accused of fathering an illegitimate child for which he refused to undergo a DNA test, how could the Congress retain him as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh.
Are there no better persons in the Congress?
Do they have to send troublesome superannuated politicians who may be a problem in their own states as Governors in other states.
A governor is a representative of the centre and we get an idea of the character of the central government by observing the governors appointed.
When you observe our ex Bengal governor, Gopalkrishna Gandhi you cannot but respect him.
However, when you observe people like N D Tiwari, you cannot but have disdain or revulsion for them.
What power does he have over the central government leaders that they are afraid to remove him in spite of so many scandals associated with him?
