Why should convicted criminals be given Bail?

HC gives bail to Rajan Tiwari in Ajit Sarkar murder case

Patna, (BiharTimes): A division bench comprising Justices Mridula Mishra and S N Hussain of Patna High Court on Wednesday granted regular bail to former Bihar MLA Rajan Tiwari, sentenced to life imprisonment, in the CPI(M) MLA Ajit Sarkar murder case.

The court allowed Tiwari’s prayer for bail after hearing his counsel and that of the CBI here.

A CBI court had six months ago sentenced Tiwari and former RJD MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav to life imprisonment for the killing of the CPI(M) legislator at Purnia on June 16, 1998. Pappu Yadav was also on bail in the case.

Have you ever wondered why crime is so rampant in India?
I have often wondered.
The main religion of India is Hinduism based on the Bhagavat Gita and yet we have so much crime.
I am opinion that the Indian judiciary is the main cause.
They give bail at the earliest opportunity to criminals, rapist, extortionist, murderers and terrorists.
Now this Tiwari has been convicted for life by a CBI Court and yet he is given bail to go out and bribe/cajole/threaten or even kill the witnesses who deposed against him.
He should have remained in jail as long as his case is not diposed off by a higher court and he is found to be innocent. If he goes out, he will influence the witnesses.

What more can you expect. Law of land is itself like that. In Manmohan's 'Heavenly India' - can we expect a change?
