Niish Kumar taking in Taslimuddin in JD (U)

Taslimuddin to join JD(U) on Sep 30, Shahnawaz, others oppose

Patna, (BiharTimes): After Shyam Rajak, it is now the turn of another RJD leader who unsuccessfully contested the parliamentary election, to switch over to Janata Dal (United). Former Union Minister and ex-MP of Kishanganj, Mohammad Taslimuddin, who resigned from his party a few days back, is all set to jumped to the Nitish Kumar bandwagon. But his sail is not likely to be smooth as there are many in the NDA, who are stalling his entry.
Taslimuddin himself told the media that the joining ceremony is is likely to be held on September 30 and the function would be held in Kishanganj.

However, Shahnawaz Hussain, the sitting BJP MP from Bhagalpur, who had earlier represented the Kishanganj Lok Sabha constituency, strongly denounced the move of the chief minister Nitish Kumar to induct Taslimuddin into the party. He said he did not expect Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who was so conscious about his clean image, to admit into the JD-U a tainted leader like Taslimuddin.

Taslimuddin claimed he had already discussed the matter with the top JD-U leadership. Surprisingly, Taslimduiin, who ended up third, said that the Janata Dal (United) is weak in the Kishanganj area and he can provide the party strength. He denied that he had demanded a Rajya Sabha berth for it from the chief minister.

Shahnawaz Hussain reminded Nitish Kumar that the JD-U and the BJP had in 1996 stalled the proceedings of Parliament in protest against Taslimuddin’s inclusion in the Union Council of Ministers as minister of state for home affairs. This forced the then Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda to drop him.

There is no dearth of people who agrees with Hussain that Taslimuddin had ceased to be a popular leader and would prove a liability to any party that admitted him. Though Taslim claims that he would strengthen the party he is joining the truth is that he got even less votes than the Janata Dal (United) in the recent election when the candidate of the latter was a political greenhorn. The seat was won by Maulana Israr-ul-Haque of the Congress. Besides, the social combination goes against him. While he represents Kulhaiya the Maulana is Surjapuri, who numerically dominates the constituency.

Incidentally, the Kishanganj’s RJD MLA, Akhtar-ul-Iman, is also a Surjapuri, had not left the party with Taslimuddin. In fact he had now come out openly against the former MP. Political observers are of the view that after the Maulana it is Akhtar-ul-Iman, who calls the shot in the region in this new scenario. The era of Taslimuddin is over. Unlike Taslimuddin he has a clean image, they opine.

Well! Well! Well!
So all that facade put forward by Nitish was a camouglage.
A man is known by the company he keeps.
Earlier he had inducted two criminals and now he is inducting Taslimuddin another dreaded criminal.
As I said earlier, there is no difference in any of the parties.
Thsy are all to be kicked out.
Nitish, Lalu, paswan, Mayawati, Mulayam with all their associated criminals.
