Raj Tackerays blackmail will now STOP

Two foreign firms vying for building film city in Bihar

Patna,(BiharTimes): The government has invited proposals to develop a film city in the state under the public private partnership. Four places, Bihta, Gaya, Hajipur and Rajgir have been identified for the construction of the world class film production unit.

Besides the film production infrastructure, the film city would have hotels, shopping malls and amusement parks for the tourists.

Two companies Ernst and Young Private Ltd and Grant Thornton, made a power-point presentation on the proposed film city project at a meeting here recently.

According to Anshuli Arya, managing director of the Infrastructure Development Authority, the nodal agency to handle the project, both the firms made impressive presentation of the film city project. The financial bid of the project would be opened now in which the company for the product will be decided.

She said that the state government will make a feasibility study of the proposal before finalizing the site. Film city should be near an airport as it should have good connectivity. Also, the site should be rich in natural beauty for location shooting.

For the world class accommodation of the celebrities construction of hotels has already been included in the projects, she added.

She said that an area of nearly 100 acres for the proposed film city would be provided by the government on lease while the structure related to the pre and post production of films would be developed by the firms selected for the project.
Bihar is attracting more and more film makers. There is boon in the Bhojpuri film in the recent years. The annual turn over is of more than Rs 200 crore.

I would like to congratulate Nitish Kumar for setting up the Film City in Bihar.
I would request him to make this a joint venture between all the Hindi speaking states, with contributions from all.
We have had sufficient black-mailing of the film world from that imbecile Raj Thackeray.
This is a resounding slap on his face.
The Mumbai film industry depends upon the Hindi films to maintain its reputation. With the building of the film city in Bihar, the Hindi speaking states will go out of the clutches of the imbecile.
If Rajasthan, Haryana, UP,Uttarkand,Himachal, MP and Bihar combine with Bihar , no Hindi films made in Maharshtra will be allowed to be exhibited in these states.
It will create employment for the people of these states.
I am sure, Amitabh Bachhan for one will welcome this move.
I would also request the BCCI members to move out its office from Mumbai and also SEBI.
I am sure Nitish will give them plenty of land to build their buildings and now since all trading is done on-line, SEBI should have no problem.
No further blackmail from the imbecile should be tolerated.
