Abu Azmi slapped by MNS MLA for taking oath in Hindi
MNS MLAs on Monday created a ruckus in the Maharashtra Assembly after SP MLA Abu Asim Azmi took oath in Hindi despite their call that all legislators take the pledge in Marathi with one of the members from Raj Thackeray's party slapping him.
Soon after Azmi began taking oath in Hindi, the 13 member-strong MNS contingent rushed towards Azmi, snatching the mike placed for taking oath at the podium.
MNS members shouted slogans, demanding that Azmi should take oath in Marathi.
The House was adjourned for 30 minutes as the pandemonium continued and soon after that MNS MLA Ram Kadam slapped Azmi.
Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and Energy Minister Ajit Pawar tried to restore calm in the House.
MNS Chief Raj Thackeray had last month announced that his party legislators would ensure that all MLAs took oath in Marathi.
Every madness has a limit but imbecile Raj Thackeray's madness has no limits.
Sardar Patel had to use force to unite India.
It seems we have to use force once again to make these mad people fall in line for the unity of India.
Shivraj Chauhan from MP has also started echoing this sentiments.
Soon, if they are not controlled we shall hear them from all over India.
The short sighted policy of the Congress in trying to divide the marathi votes between Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray so that they gain is harming the whole nation.
The 13 MNS MLAs who created a ruckus in the assembly and slapped Azmi should be arrested and put behind bars.
Raj Thackeray too should be arrested and sent to Patna jail

Four MNS MLAs suspended from Maharashtra Assembly for four years for misbehaving with a woman MLA and assaulting Abu Azmi, another MLA.
The suspended MNS MLAs are Shishir Shinde, Ramesh Vanjale, Ram Kadam and Vasant Geete.
I read the above after posting my earlier message.
The action is not sufficient.
All 13 MNS MLAs should be suspended and sent to Patna jail

Raj Thackeray is the only person in India today who dares to protect the rights of a State and it's language after Annadurai. We Tamils will fully stand by Raj Thackeray. If Hindi people sitting in Maharashtra Assembly say that they won't speak Marathi (with media support), it clearly shows the respect hindi people & Indian media has towards the Non-hindi languages.
Today media and elite people are using the word 'Cosmopolitan' to kick off local language of a State. If Marathi cannot be spoken in the Assembly of Maharashtra, where else it can be spoken?
Since the hindi people and the elite people of India are callous when it comes to protecting non-hindi Indian Languages, there is no other way to keep Marathi in Maharashtra except to force these hindi & elite groups of people to speak Marathi while in Maharashtra.
1)Every Indian should promise that she\he will accept the diversity of India. Hence languages of the States should be protected.
2) India should never be represented to the world just by Hindi alone as we want to tell the world that India is a multi-lingual nation.
2)Let's not make any minority, majority classifications. Nobody would like to live the life of minorities in a society where the population of majority always puts the minority population under threat by making constant demands
3) We should allow our Indian Society to remain heterogenous. Trying to make our society homogenous by killing the diversity aspect is dangerous.
4) “Unity in Diversity” is the fundamental concept of India. Those who cannot tolerate diversity can be considered as fit to live in India and they should be either arrested under POTA or deported from the country. They are more dangerous to our nation than the terrorist from Pakisthan. So, if a north indian person comes to TamilNadu and cannot tolerate a Tamil person talking in Tamil and rather expects him to communitate in hindi or goes to Maharashtra and addresses assembly in Hindi rather than Marathi, the north indian person should be arrested under POTA or deported out of our country for not respecting the language of the State.
If majority of the northies are like this, then it is high time that we preach ‘tolerance’ to our north indian kids as early as possible such that the next generation of northies atleast will grow up accepting the diversity aspect of our nation.

If you read our blog regularly, you will note that I am the last person who would want to impose any one language on anybody.
I am all for the 3 language formula in India where every person should be taught Englsh, Hindi and the mother tongue.
English so that we can take on the world.
It is just our knowledge of English which has made us a power in the Software and BPO industries.
Hindi so that the general people of India who are not educated can speak to and understand each other as it is the language understood by a majority of our people.
The mother tongue so that we maintain our diversity.
It seems it is people like Raj Thackeray who are dividing India by imposing their will on others. Unfortunately you share his views and are equally culpable.
So are the Hindi speaking politicians of north India who try to impose Hindi on others.
A person should speak in whatever language he finds convenient but which others can understand.
The Imbecile and his legislators understand Hindi but they are imposing on others to speak in Marathi. This is not acceptable.
This is against the federal structure of the constitution and should be put down with a iron hand. The congress should not play with fire by dividing the Marathis to gain in seats.
