Koda- Nitish Kumar Speaks

Nitish once again seeks probe into role of Congress, RJD in installing Koda as CM

Patna,(BiharTimes): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday once again demanded setting up of a committee to investigate the role of various parties including Congress and RJD which helped Madhu Koda, a former minister in the two successive NDA governments, become the chief minister of Jharkhand

Talking to reporters here he said a thorough probe against the kingmakers is a necessity as only then the people of Jharkhand can get an answer to the question regarding misappropriation of public money totalling over Rs 4,000 crore during 23 months of the rule of Madhu Koda.

For the second time in a week Nitish said that everybody knows note counting machines were installed at the residence of Koda who along with his ministerial colleagues was looting the state.

Madhu Koda, who won as an Independent in 2005, became the chief minister with the help of Congress and RJD and ruled the state for almost two years after repeated failed attempts by the NDA and even JMM’s Shibu Soren to form the government. But before that Koda was a BJP leader and served as the minister in both Babulal Marandi and Arjun Munda government.

Nitish Kumar, the honest Chief Minister and we know they are all honest men, is demanding a commission of enquiry.
If there is anything more than "the law being allowed to take its course" , it is "setting up a commission of enquiry".
If any politician wants to hide anything and wants it to be swept under the carpet, it is to demand a commission of enquiry.
We have seen umpteen commission of enquiries for everything under the sun being formed. The result has always been zero.
Since the NDA had Koda as minister in two of their governments and the UPA helped Koda form his government, both have skeletons in their cupboards.
I would demand that the case be handed over to the CBI with monitoring by the Supreme Court. The centre should not be involved as it is an interested party.
All documents and data seized so far should be handed over to the Supreme Court.
Then only can we get to the facts otherwise as with all future cases where politicians were involved, Koda will go scot-free.
