Some Lines from Omar Khayyam

People have remarked regarding my diatribe against politicians.
I can only say that the problems existing in the country is because of our politicians and whatever advances our country has been made is in spite of our politicians.
I love politicians
As a mongoose would love a snake,
As people of Singur would love Mamta,
As Mulayum would love Mayawati,
As Prakash Karat would love Manmohan Singh,
As Brinda Karat would love Swami Ramdeo,
As Bin Laden would love George Bush,
As Saurabh Ganguly would love Greg Chappel

Sir, Mr. Lobo, has sent the following to bring us back to earth.The flurrt friends you will see with the Saturday mail.

Radheshyam

The political and religious "discourse" on the Blog is getting out of control and the main Proponents needs to get back to basics perhaps,...and learn something from our furry Friends!

Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám

Edward Fitzgerald (1809-1883)

XXVI
Oh, come with old Khayyám, and leave the Wise
To talk; one thing is certain, that Life flies;
One thing is certain, and the Rest is Lies;
The Flower that once has blown for ever dies.

XXVII
Myself when young did eagerly frequent
Doctor and Saint, and heard great Argument
About it and about: but evermore
Came out by the same Door as in I went.

XLV
But leave the Wise to wrangle, and with me
The Quarrel of the Universe let be:
And, in some corner of the Hubbub coucht,
Make Game of that which makes as much of Thee.
