Regional Politics

Raj Thakeray has taken up cudgels against north Indians and has driven away all candidates from other states, mostly from Bihar, who had come to Mumbai to appear for the Railway Recruitment Board exams. And Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav, the Rly. Minister, who is from Bihar, has commented that Raj is a mental case. What a turn around ! When candidates from other states, mostly from Bengal, had gone to Bihar to appear for the RRB exams, they were thrashed and sent back. Where was Lalu Prasad then ? He was the Chief Minister of Bihar at that time and kept mum. What is happening in Maharashtra now has been happening in Bihar for a long long time. So Lalu Prasad has nothing to fret about. He's getting a dose of his own medicine.
But, unfortunately, this is a very bad omen for the country. If this is permitted to continue,
the nation will be split into a hundred more states on the basis of language and then on the basis of caste. The central and state governments should take immediate steps in curbing this menace before it is too late.

My School - I wish said...

Raj Thackeray and his ilk take advantage of the prosperity of Mumbai to blackmail the whole of India. They forget that Mumbai has become what it is because of the efforts of everybody, Gujarati, Parsees, South Indians, North Indians and even the British. It is just by chance that Mumbai is in Maharashtra. Mumbai has developed not because of the Maharashtran but is spite of the Maharashtran's lethargy to work.
If Raj Thackeray and Shiv Sena continues their madness, it would be to the benefit to India if the Central Government seriously considers removal of Mumbai from Maharashtra and made into a Union Territory.
