Kejriwal to meet Kumar Vishwas after police register complaint against latter
Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Apr. 19 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief, Arvind Kejriwal, said on Saturday that he will meet party leader Kumar Vishwas, against whom a complaint has been filed after he sat on a protest inside a police station after an officer refused to register case against Vice-President of ruling Congress party, Rahul Gandhi, his sister Priyanka Gandhi and some of his supporters.
Aam Aadmi Party leader Kumar Vishwas, who is contesting against Rahul Gandhi from Amethi parliamentary constituency, alleged that Congress wanted to kill him after a video footage showed a Congress worker talking to Priyanka Gandhi allegedly about killing Vishwas.
Kejriwal, who was holding a public meeting in his constituency of Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, said he will be meeting Vishwas in Amethi.
"I am leaving for Amethi today in the evening. I am meeting Kumar Vishwas today," Kejriwal said.
To stress his claim, Vishwas had released a video footage that showed Congress worker Vinod Mishra saying to Priyanka Gandhi that, "Vishwas is talking against Rahul, I will shoot him".
Vishwas had also said that he would approach the Election Commission.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, police in Amethi filed a First Information Report (FIR) against Vishwas, which according to him was a conspiracy.
"They are planning a conspiracy against me. I came to register the FIR but for almost eight hours police were seen talking to their seniors to register the FIR. The police had no courage to file a case against both Rahul Gandhi and his rowdies. Thousands of party workers sat on a protest but finally they filed an FIR against me under IPC section 144. This shows that democracy in Amethi is over, the region is totally run under Congress-influenced rowdies," said Vishwas. (ANI)
This is just a repeat of the scenario that occurred in Lucknow and Delhi. AAP workers were beaten up there by Congress and BJP goons but FIRs were lodged against AAP workers.
The administrations is just repeating what they did there. AAP had sat on dharna against the police to lodge FIR against one Vinod Mishra who had threatened to kill Kumar Vishwas. Instead of lodging an FIR against Vinod Mishra, the police has filed an FIR against Kumar Vishwas under Section 144. See, the police is very fast in filing cases against the opposition but are scared of filing FIR against the ruling party. This has to change.
Vote for AAP
