He was once called Ranchod - now he is called Bhagora

He was once called Ranchod - now he is called Bhagora

Varanasi, Apr.18 (ANI): Commenting on the protest by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporters, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal said he is ready to face anything and, added that protests will happen as he has challenged the vested interest of some powerful people.
"They are protesting and they will do that, especially after you challenge the biggest vested interests in the country. We are ready to face all of this. You face obstacles when you walk on the path of the truth but in the end only the truth prevails," said Kejriwal.
He appealed to his supporters not to indulge in any kind of violence with anybody, and asked them to maintain peace.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporters had taken to streets against Kejriwal, calling him an 'escapist' and accused him of not doing anything as Chief Minister of Delhi.
"We want Modi to win from Varanasi by promoting Gujarat model of development. Arvind Kejriwal failed to do anything in Delhi as Chief Minister", said Rakesh, a BJP supporter.
Opponents and former supporters accuse Kejriwal of rabble-rousing and there have been violent clashes between his followers and supporters of the BJP. (ANI)
The BJP workers, instead of canvassing for their candidates are more interested in opposing Kejriwal by putting up posters calling him "bhagora". If Arvind had not resigned after failing to have the Lokpal bill passed, these same people would have accused him of "sticking to his chair" like a leech like their Chief Ministers are used to.
By hook or by crook, by either threat of CBI raids of bribes running into several crores, they cobble up a majority to form a government. For them it is a new thing that a CM can resign because he could not fulfil his promise. If this became a practise, how would they earn money. Hence. their strident cacophony with the media shouting in unison on a perfectly understandable decision of Arvind.
And who are these former supporters who accuse Arvind Kejriwal of rabble rising. They are all BJP workers who claim they once supported Arvind Kejriwal. That is all lies. They have always been BJP workers who are out to show that Arvind is incorrect. The genuine AAP workers are all very much with AAP and support Arvind in all his actions.
Arvind has very rightly pointed out thatif he  is he is a bhagora then the BJP and Congress would also be accusing Lal Bahadur Shastri of being a" bhagora" when he resigned as Railway Minister when an accident occurred in the railways. How different from our railway ministers now. Mukul Roy as Railway Minister was  busy in his state, pleasing his boss, Mamta Banerjee, in W.Bengal, and could not visit the site of a railway accident occurred in Assam in spite of being asked by the prime Minister to do so, leave alone resigning. Such was the power of our non-performing prime minister.
However, on many an occasion it is good strategy to withdraw from one battle in the interest of winning a war.
Our Mahabharath has the story of a famous "bhagora" although in the Mahabhartha we call him "Ranchod"
When Jarashandha attacked Mathura for the 18th time with a large army to destroy it, Krishna advised King Ugrasena to leave Mathura and go to the new city of Dwarka which Krishna had got built by Lord Vishwakarma as otherwise there would be death and destruction. Kind Ugraesena told Krishna that he would be called "Ranchod". Krishna said that he would not mind getting one more title besides the many he already had, if it could save lives. So they moved to Dwarka and when Jarasndha came and saw the empty city of Mathura he called Krishna 'Ranchod".
There was another reason why Krishna was called Ranchod.
There was a powerful king called Kalyavan who too wanted to destroy Mathura. Kalyavan had received a boon from Shiva that he could not be killed by the Yadavas.
Krishna too happened to be a Yadava.
When Kalyvan attacked, Krishna ran away as if in fear from the battlefield and remained just outside Kalyavan's reach so that Kalyvan always thought that Krishna could be caught.
Jarasandha, who was with Kalyavan, laughed at Krishna, just like the Congress and BJP are calling Arvind a "Bhagora"
Krishna ran into a cave where king Muchukund was in deep sleep after receiving a boon from Lord Shiva that on whomsoever he set his eyes after getting up from sleep would be burnt to ashes.
Krishna hid in the caves. On entering the cave, Kalyavan  saw the sleeping Muchukund, and thought it was Krishna and so kicked him and challenged him to get up and fight.
King Muchukund, got up unwillingly and turned to see who had woken him and the next moment, Kalyavan, was turned to ashes.
Well, let us hope, the Congress and BJP too are turned to ashes.
