Criminal cases against BJP’s Ramesh Bidhuri

Through this press release, I am bringing to the notice of the electorate of South Delhi, that atleast six FIRs that have been filed against Shri Ramesh Bidhuri, BJP candidate for South Delhi Lok Sabha seat, over the last ten years. These are only a miniscule number of the several criminal acts of Shri Bidhuri, as several other complainants or those who have suffered do not share the FIRs or want to remain anonymous because of the fear of reprisal from Shri Bidhuri.

It may be noticed that these cases are spread over ten years. Thus it is apparent that Shri Bidhuri has been consistently indulging in criminal activities and has unleashed a reign of terror against the people of his own electorate (South Delhi) over several years. These cases have been lodged by the economically weak, minorities and women. It can therefore be questioned how can such a person ever protect these classes of people? People of South Delhi need to be cautioned about the antecedents of Shri Bidhuri, before they decide on whom to vote for.

The details of the known cases filed against Shri Ramesh Bidhuri are given below. The relevant FIRs / other documents are also enclosed :

1. 26 FEB 2004: RAMESH BIDHURI THREATENED ONE MR RAM SHANKAR BY PLACING A REVOLVER ON HIS HEAD. METROPOLIAN MAGISTRATE – 01 , SE DIST, NEW DELHI , SHRI DEVENDAR KUMAR JANGLA FOUND MATERIAL ON RECORD FOR COMMISSION OF THE OFFENCE UNDER SEC 323 (VOLUNTARILY CAUSING HURT), SEC 149 (COMMON OBJECTIVE TO COMMIT OFFENCE) AND SEC 506 (CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION).

2. 9 APRIL 2004: SANGAM VIHAR PS: FIR LODGED BY SHRI LAL OF SURAJ KUND ROAD UNDER IPC 325 (CAUSING GREVIOUS HURT) AND OTHER SECS TOO. FIR 246/04
