Msg from J K Ghosh

Dear RS,

Happy Bijoya Greetings to you and your family. I had sent you an SMS earlier; hope you received it. I've seen the Website. A beginning at last. My net was causing some problems for a few days. Moreover, I had gone to a friend's house in Vikas Puri. Stayed there for three days, returned on Dashami afternoon, to find the net dislocated. I hired a car on Ashtami night and went around Delhi, visiting the various pandals in the city. Returned at 3 AM. Then on Friday my natni was down with cold and fever, due to change of season. I didn't take any chances and took her to the hospital for a check-up. We're all terrorised with swine flu. Fortunately, she recovered within two days, but still weak. Tomorrow again we'll be taking her to the hospital for further check-up.

hat God does, He does for our good. We're very lucky that the Panch Kedar Yatra was cancelled. I've had reports that those who had gone during that period had to rush back because of terrible cold and snow. No food was available in most places, especially Tunganath and Rudranath. Cool breeze has started blowing across Delhi. My shala is making plans for the trip in May. I'm leaving for Kolkata on 3rd December. On 7th I'll be going for MP Tour conducted by Kundu Special alongwith a friend of mine. I hope to stay for five/six months in my house, if my natni permits. If she doesn't give much trouble, the Panch Kedar Yatra may be discussed with my shala. I hope to meet all of you in January.

Well, bye for now.

JK

Dear JK,

Sorry for the delay in replying.
As you know, the painters have taken over my home.
I have just got my computer today after long time.
Yes, whatever God does is for our good, only, we don't realize it.
As the Bhagavat Gita says, do your karma, you have power to do that but leave the result to Him.

Further, if you realize that whatever karma is being done is as he desires then we shall do good karma only and we won't be intoxicated in our karma.

That is what Niskam Yoga.

Yes, we are all looking forward to your visit.
When you come, we are all able to meet.
I have to write my weekly mail.
I am already late. I hope I am able to complete it tonight.

Cheers now,

RS

Msg from Safiul Huda

Radheshyam:

So happy, to see upon checking my gmail, after long neglect, that you personally addressed some of your mail to me. I'll be running off to a dentist's appointment [what a job -- paid to inflict pain!]. So I'll catch up later. I read yet another version of the Gita and was inspired to write a piece for your blog which I'm attaching and which I hope you'll put up and which I fervently hope offends nobody. People can be very touchy where religion is concerned.

Great event -- this summer N.K. came to visit. We met after almost 50 years! I was thrilled. He and his wife could only stay one night. I'll write something about that later. For now -- attaching my blog contribution.

I am glad you are as usual busy and leading a full and eventful life and doing good things. May God grant me a visit to Kolkata so I can meet all of my old friends who're there.

Safiul

Safi,

Glad to receive your mail.
The doubts expressed by you regarding the Mahabharata comes to the mind of any rational being.
But in many cases in religion you have to suspend your reason because with our finite minds we try to fathom the Infinite. That is where faith takes over from reason.
The immaculate conception of Jesus and the way King Dhritarastra, King Pandu and Bidhur were conceived by their mothers by just walking naked in front of Ved Vyasji who just cast a glance over them, cannot be accepted by our rational minds.
However, if you realize that He has made the whole Universe, just by power of thought, without anything, you can explain everything.
The whole universe around us is finite.
It was made one day and it will perish one day.
The time may vary.
Our Sun has been there for millions of years and will be there for millions of years.
But still one day it will become a dead star.
Of course human life will perish much before that.
But He Who was there before the sun was there and will be there after the sun has gone cannot be understood by us who are there for maybe 60/70 of maybe 150 years.
Do keep writing.
Your mails do make us think.

Cheers,

Radheshyam

Msg from Ujjwal Das

Hari Om Sir,

Every Monday when I come to office the first thing I look out for is your weekly email.

I request you to kindly change my email address from ujjwaldas@rediffmail.com to ujjwal.das@hotmail.com in your weekly emails.

The last time I had communicated with you was for a job so that I can relocate to Kolkata. I had interacted with a few people but due to recession, I suppose, I have not yet been able get a suitable opportunity.

I took a glance of the Goethals Alumni website and was glad to see it started. I too have made a website for the Batch of 1987 please do have a look at it. Right now it is in a free domain(popup ads may be a bit annoying), would buy a domain soon and get it transferred. The address is http://gms87.ueuo.com. Do let me know you comments.

Cheers!!

Ujjwal Das
Batch of 87

Hari Om Ujjwal,

I have gone through your site.
It is good.
If you could put all the names of the boys in the photographs, it would be better.
I think our alumnii site could take some ideas from you.
Yes, I think Kolkata is very poor as far as employment is concerned.
I have posted 3 requirements for Kolkata but have not received any replies from any of our boys in Kolkata.
My company, WPIL regularly takes people in Production, Marketing, R & D and even in Purchase.
We manufacture pumps.
If anyody is interested, they could apply.

Cheers,

Radheshyam
