Analysing Life

Speech given by Chetan Bhagat in Symbiosis ...must read..... Good one....

"Life is one of those races in nursery school where you have to run with a marble in a spoon kept in your mouth. If the marble falls, there is no point coming first. Same with life, where health and relationships are the marble. Your striving is only worth it if there is harmony in your life. Else, you may achieve the success, but this spark, this feeling of being excited and alive, will start to die.

One thing about nurturing the spark - don't take life seriously. Life is not to be taken seriously, as we are really temporary here. We are like a pre-paid card with limited validity. If we are lucky, we may last another 50 years. And 50 years is just 2,500 weekends. Do we really need to get so worked up?

It's ok, bunk a few classes, goof up a few interviews, take leave from work, fall in love.

We are people, not programmed devices..... "Don't be serious, be sincere." !

I reached office late this morning as we have started some painting work at home and asked my colleague how he had spent the weekend.
He replied that he had a terrible one.
Just before Lakhi Puja, he started vomiting and that continued for the next two days as no doctors were available.

When we do not live a balance life, these are the problems which develop.
Those who have read the Bhagavat Gita will remember that everything in life can be divided into three categories, Tamas, Rajas and Satvik.
Tamas gives you all the baser things of life.
Rajas is what comes from being a normal human being.
Satvik is for all those who are more spiritual than the normal humans.
All habits, thoughts, actions, books, food, drinks can be divided into the above.
Our normal tendency is rajas.
Tamas is easier and we tend to drift down towards that.
Reaching the satvik is more difficult but we should make an attempt towards.
At any point in time man is a mixture of the three.
Depending upon your food, your company and what you read, the result comes out.
At any one point you may be Tamas, Rajas or Satvik.
If we simplify our lives, we move towards satvik.
