Messages from Old Boys 21

Having been a teacher himself, Sir, Mr. Lobo, feels for this teacher's lot and wanted to share their discomfort with us.
I am thankful we did not have advisers in Goethals like Bushes.
Like a hunter who shoots at any movements in the bushes, USA has become so paranoid that it shoots at anybody having a Muslim sounding name.
I understand using the word alas in banned in USA because sounds it like Al-ass.

School Teacher Arrested

NEW YORK -- A school teacher was arrested today at John F. Kennedy International Airport as he attempted to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a set square, a slide rule and a calculator.

That morning, at a press conference, the Attorney General said he believes the man is a member of the notorious Al-gebra movement. He did not identify the man, who has been charged by the FBI with carrying weapons of math instruction. Al-gebra is a problem for us,' the AG said. 'They desire solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in search of absolute values. They use secret code names like 'X' and 'Y' and refer to themselves as 'unknowns', but we have determined that they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country. As the Greek philanderer Isosceles used to say, 'There are 3 sides to every triangle'.'

When asked to comment on the arrest, President Bush said, 'If God had wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, he would have given us more fingers and toes.'

White House aides told reporters they could not recall a more intelligent or profound statement by the President.

Dear Chief

The problem is that i am not too regular with my mails. There was a picture in the Times of India a few days back. It seems that the game wardens of a Reserve in Thailand came across the carcasses of two animals - a python and an crocodile. It seems that the python tried to swallow a baby croc. It did succeed in getting half the croc in ; that is when the croc tore out the python's belly.

If there is to be a moral to this story, and in view of India's present obsession with the IPL (and yes I too do NOT watch it) , I guess it would be that these cricketers should learn to be temperate. If you try to bite more than you can chew then you are in trouble big time - Harbhajan Singh and his slap. He was the python and Sresanth the croc

Msg from Karma

Dear Karma,
Thanks for the updated list.
Yes, you have my permission.
I was also thinking the same, trouble in the hills has disrupted education and everything else.
First Ghising and now Grurung. They don't realize how much harm they are doing to the hills in trying to promote their own selfish agenda.
Politicians are the same everywhere. Scum of society. Scavengers and bloodthirsty reptiles.
That is why I am always writing against them.

Dear Radesh,
I hope I have the permission to call u by this name),
Sending u updated list of Sikkim ex-Goethalites. if u go thru the list u will see one boy of 87 batch. The only reason I can think of as to why post 85 there is less enrolment must be coz of the political turmoil in the hills during this period.

Hello Siddharth,

Thanks for sending your PD.
I am pleased to see that you are at MIT.
I know you must be having a busy schedule at MIT but it would be good if every now and then you could write something for our blog.
You could become an an author, if you agree, so that you can then post directly on the blog.
You see most of the articles presently are by the '60's batch.
I want you boys of the "90's and "2000 batches to be involved also, if you have the time.
That is why we have named the blog goethals 1907 - 2007, so that all of us become participatory members.
If you start, then others too will start participating.
Think over it, if you can give some time.
I wouldn't want your education to suffer.

Cheers,

Radheshyam

Hi,
I finished from Goethals in 2001 and I have been a
regular visitor of you blog. I think you have done a
great job in bringing goethalites all over the world
together. I am attaching with this email my personal
info.

Thanks a lot
Siddharth Bhardwaj
