The devastating fire in Amri Hospital in Kolkata exposes the greed, callousness and inhumanity of the owners of the Hospital. They were out to mint money from the sufferings of the ill. The persons in the government level whose duty it was to check the safety measures that ought to have been taken by the hospital authorities, are no less responsible for the tragedy. They should be made accountable and taken into custody along with the 6 board members.
This tragic incident, causing the death of about 100 helpless patients, is a shame for the country at the international level. I bow my head in shame.
