America & Obama -Honeymoon over.

Although the above cartoons sent by Prakash Bhartia are America-centric, they are easily understood by the rest of the world.
We in India have been lucky in that we have not been affected by the disease where the government has to bail out banks. Rather, the way our government handled the Satyam scam is really commendable.
But since it was a private sector which was involved they could take a unbiased decision.
If however, some public entity was involved, they would continue throwing good money after bad money.
A case at point is the Air India case.
Governement employees will take willingly whatever and more than what the government gives.
But when the time comes to tighten their belts as in the present crisis and they are asked to take a cut in their incentives, they all howl with one voice that it is unacceptable.
I once again repeat, the pay commission awards every five years should be stopped.
These are one of the main causes of inflationery pressures and for which government has to continue increasing taxes on the people and have less money for the vvery very poor people who actually requires help not the already fattened government employees.
