Goethals Sports 2012 -7
The last lost of photographs taken while the boys were having lunch on the 7th. Thereafter Avijit and I went to the senior dormitory to relive the past. It is difficult to imagine that we slept in those small beds.
One thing jarred us.
The bed covers during our time used to be all white. Now there were some non-white bed covers also.
The class X boys had a separate dormitory to themselves which was located on top of the new building.
Since the boys were going to town after 2 o'clock we left the school early.
The next day, 8th October, we were returning to Kolkata at 9.00 pm. We would leave Kurseong by around 5 PM so we had the whole afternoon to go to town which was 3 km from Cochran Place. A local taxi takes a person to Kurseong at Rs 10/- per head.
We roamed about for some time and then I had my veg lunch at Astha restaurant.
Since the other non-veg boys had not started their lunch even, I decided to walk down to Cochran Place and enjoy the scenery and take photographs.
The others reached Cochran after about one hour.
Then we left for NJP.
On the way Kamal Kallani arranged food packets for our dinner from a place in the Vishal Mart building. It was a very good dinner packet and I would recommend it to anyone travelling through NJP.
And it cost only Rs 150/-.
I would like to thank Kamal for the wonderful dinner.
I would like to thank all the members of the Kolkata Alumni, Pradeep Lama, Raghuvansh Prasad for having made this visit possible.
I would also like to thank Bro. Miranda, the Principal, the staff of the school and all the boys for such a wonderful time at the sports and thereafter.

Radheshyam, thanks for the photographs of the GMS 2012 Sports Day and the Kolkota Alumni's Visit. Clearly shows you guys enjoyed yourselves very much. Your photos brought back vivid memories of my time in Kurseong in general and GMS in particular.
