The Congress Maha rally

New Delhi, Nov 4 (ANI): Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi on Sunday blamed the opposition for stalling the passage of the Lokpal Bill, and vowed to bring it again. Addressing a Congress mega rally at the Ramlila Grounds here, Gandhi said the opposition has been opposing the programmes of the Congress-led UPA Government without thought or understanding.

"The opposition can only scream and shout, can oppose, only we can change the system! Only Manmohan Singh, Sonia Gandhi can show way to development, no one else can. We have done our best for the common man... we came up with RTI Act that helped expose corruption... We will pass Lokpal Bill, just wait and watch," he added. Promising that his party would work more for the nation in the coming years, Gandhi said: "We are in power for eight years, and we have had big achievements...We will work more for the nation in the coming years. We have implemented several schemes and programmes including MNREGA and RTI".

The Congress mega rally is expected to set the agenda for the party's one-day brainstorming session at Surajkund on November 9 in which it plans to discuss current political and economic situation as well as review the implementation of programmes promised in the party manifesto.

This rally is also expected to give a message to party workers down the line, as it will be attended also by district and block presidents from all over the country besides Ministers at the Centre and states, MPs and MLAs and party's central and state office-bearers. (ANI)

New Delhi, Nov 4 (ANI): Accusing the opposition BJP of weakening the country's democratic institutions, Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Sunday challenged the graft charges levelled against the government, and said that those who lecture on corruption, are themselves neck-deep in corruption.

Addressing a Congress rally at the Ramlila Grounds here, Sonia Gandhi said: "The Congress is a party which has always protected the Constitution. The opposition has stalled Parliament repeatedly, they have run away from debate. They are mired in corruption charges themselves; that is why they are making false allegations. They lecture us on corruption, but are corrupt themselves."

She further said: "We will fight the graft charges against us and anyone found guilty of corruption will not be spared."

She further said that she understands that price rise has affected the poor. However, she adds that India's growth momentum is steady and rising.

"I know that inflation has it the common man. The problem is that the oil prices have quadrupled in international markets - we import 80 percent of our requirements. We have not increased the prices of food grains under the Public Distribution System. We are also planning on a bill that will guarantee food security," she said. (ANI)

New Delhi, Nov 4 (ANI): Asserting that his UPA Government has created crores of jobs and set in motion infrastructure development across the nation, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday sought to dispel the general public's misconception on hard decisions taken by the administration to effect economic reforms and to reduce reliance on subsidized LPG.

Addressing a Congress rally at the Ramlila Grounds here, Dr. Singh said misinformation is being spread on the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) issue and appealed to the people not to heed such political carnard.

Asserting that FDI would boost investment and improve the national economy, while at the same time, reduce dependence on subsidy, Dr. Singh said: "Those states opposing FDI can resist it, while eventually, everyone would see reason and support it." "The difference between us and those opposing us is that the Congress party and the government want to create a change in society," he added.

Defending the hike in fuel prices, he said this had to be done to cut the country's subsidy bills.

He also took on the opposition, which has been strongly critical on reform decisions like increasing prices of fuel and the introduction of foreign investment in retail. Some people are trying to mislead the public, he said, adding that it is our dream to work towards a strong and prosperous nation and we will not spare any effort to achieve that.

He also linked economic liberalisation with corruption, saying while the Congress remained committed to fighting graft, "It shouldn't create a situation where honest officers are afraid to take decisions". (ANI)

The above is from my Yahoomail

I have given above the speeches of three personalities, The son, the mother and the holy ghost.

Rahul Gandhi claims that the opposition scuttled the Lokpal bill.

He thinks public memory is short.

The mango people of India know that the entire parliament scuttled the bill. The Congress is the most culpable as it was in power. And we remember how the Vice President suddenly adjourned the House to prevent voting.

No, Rahul, your argument does not cut ice.

Sonia Gandhi talks of the opposition being mired in corruption.

I disagree.

Both the Congress and BJP are corrupt, the congress even more since it is in power and has got more opportunities.

The BJP has Yeddyurappa and Nitin Gadkari.

The Congress and UPA has a whole battery of corrupt people. The list is endless.

Kalamadi, Ashok Chavan, Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar,Salman Khurshid,A Raja , Dayanidhi Maran and on top of the heap Robert Vadra.

It is a matter of perception who is more corrupter (this poor English is intentional). The mango people of India do not find any difference and want both to be thrown out, lock stock and barrel.

The PM talks of infrastructure development and FDI.

He thinks us fools.

We all know this is to give further opportunities to their cronies in the UPA to earn even more money

They want to reduce deficit by reducing number of gas cylinders.

Why don't they reduce the salaries and perks of all the MPs.

No, they won't do that as it would affect them.

So what is the solution?

Only Arvind Kejriwal can save India from these corrupt politicians.
