Citizens not impressed with Modi government’s anti-corruption drive

NEW DELHI: It's been seven months and five days since Narendra Modi was sworn in as India's 15th Prime Minister, and he clearly retains the confidence and goodwill of the metropolitan middle class.
His government is viewed by a majority of people in eight biggest cities to have done a good job so far and is expected to continue to do well.
However, a survey - conducted exclusively for Times of India by IPSOS in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad - found people somewhat lukewarm to the government's performance.
While 40 per cent said it had reduced corruption, 45 per cent said it had made no difference, another 8 per cent felt the situation had worsened. The survey polled a little over 1,200 men and women aged 18 and above.
According to the survey, 82 per cent respondents in Delhi, 70 per cent in Chennai and 60 percent in Ahmedabad believe that Modi government has made no difference towards curbing corruption. Surprisingly, 23 per cent in Ahmedabad and 14 per cent respondents in Chennai and Kolkata believe that the corruption has gone up.
However, 43 per cent in Mumbai, 50 per cent in Kolkata, 63 per cent in Bengaluru, 62 per cent in Hyderabad and 56 per cent in Pune believe that the corruption has reduced. Substantial populations in Mumbai are either not sure or refusing to comment on Modi government’s impact on corruption scenario.

Here are some comments on the article, from the same site.
I have live case of organised corruption in education department at Gujarat under Modi and nobody from bureaucracy or politicians reply to my letters. 6 RTIs are also unreplied even after orders from Information commissioner. I was constrained to move to high court. Surprising is non of the govt officers from education department has replied to high court petition for 7 months till date. This is what Modi has done on corruption. In his way of working, he provides immunity to officials without any fear and that mounts corruption. The petition No. of my case with High court of Gujarat is SCA 8075/2014. I am constrained top say Modi can't touch corrupt officials. Reasons best known to him.

Modi's image is a media hype, but there are some visible results due to the cleanliness drive introduced by the PM, beside this , there aren't much differences in other serious matters like corruption that the nation is facing.

what cleanliness or hygiene can u derive out of a sick indian. there is no one who can stop citizens from mis behaving by dirtying the walls of government offices, courts, common buildings etc. by way of spitting. The ban on Gutka in Maharashtra is being served by the product in manufacture and use in Gujarat which is freely sold in Mumbai. If u ask someone to stop spitting on walls or just by a habit even on roads and rly stations, they ask is this your father's place. This is India. People who enforce law are busy something else and common sense does not prevail here.

When I was school going boy, on the way used to observe.
The snake charmar used to tie mongoose and keep Cobra
inside basket, repeatedly assured the surrounded crowd
to keep them in tact that he will release both creatures to
make them fight but never did so.
Does anyone guess; snake is money stratcher, mongoose
Swiss Banker and .......Charmer......hummmmm. yes you
are always right!
Only the creatures are saved by stingent wild life laws now,
(not money stratchers or the Banking bigwigs!!!)
