Binny, JD-U MLA threaten to quit AAP

Binny, JD-U MLA threaten to quit AAP

New Delhi, Feb 2 (IANS) Delhi legislator Vinod Kumar Binny -- expelled from the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) -- and Janata Dal-United (JD-U) MLA Shoaib Iqbal Sunday threatened to withdraw support to the one-month-old government if it did not agree to their demands.

Binny also claimed to have the support of three other legislators, including an Independent who had supported the AAP government during the crucial vote of trust.

"We are setting a deadline of 48 hours for the AAP to fulfil our demands. If our demands are not met, we will be forced to re-think the support we have given," Iqbal said in a press conference.

The duo, who also announced launching of an independent political outfit, demanded the roll back of six-eight percent power rate surcharge, supplying daily 700 litres of water without any condition and probe against the corrupt people named by the party in its poll campaign.

In the December 2013 Delhi assembly elections, the AAP won 28 seats in the 70-member house and formed the government with the outside support of the Congress that had won eight seats.

Iqbal and an Independent also extended support to the AAP in the assembly.

Of AAP's 28 lawmakers, one was elected speaker and another MLA -- Binny -- was expelled for anti-party activities.

I don't understand these fools.

Binny has been expelled from the party, so who is asking him to support the party.

The JD(U) MLA, is a habitual party hopper, a ayaram-gayaram who AAP did not ask for support.

Of his own he gave unconditional support and now because he was not getting the attention he was hoping for, threatens to withdraw support which AAP never asked.

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

I just hope Alka Lamba also leaves before she does more damage to AAP.

The CongBhajp syndicate with all other existing political just consist of ayaram-gayarams and AAP should best avoid inducting any member of those political parties.
