AAP leader arrested for raping married woman

AAP leader arrested for raping married woman New Delhi, Feb 4 (IANS) An Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader was arrested for raping a woman on the pretext of providing her a job, police said Tuesday.

Raman Swami was arrested for raping a woman Jan 25 and was sent to judicial custody till Feb 8, police said.

The woman told police she befriended Swami of Harikesh Nagar in south Delhi a few days back and requested him to help her get employment.

A police officer said: "On Jan 25, he asked her to meet him in the Okhla area. When she reached there, he took the woman to a house in his car and raped her."

The officer added that Swami also threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone about the assault.

She managed to approach the police the same day. Swami was arrested after her medical examination confirmed rape.

Police said Swami joined the AAP before the Dec 4 Delhi elections and had also sought a ticket from the Okhla constituency.

Unfortunately, AAP has to take in members without checking their antecedents.

We have recently gone on a membership drive and have collected over 1 crore members.

Many of these may be criminals or would be criminals and anti-socials.

We cannot check all of them.

However, we can assure one thing.

As soon as anyone has done anything which is considered immoral or illegal, his membership is cancelled.

However we do it after full enquiry and not just because the media or the CongBhajp syndicate starts barking.

Thus we removed one of AAP candidates from the Delhi elections just days before the elections because certain charges surfaced after he was chosen as a member.

On the other hand we did not ask our members to resign after the sting operation although the media cried hoarse.

Our decision was found to be correct when we analysed the tapes.

Similarly, we did not ask Somnath Bharati to resign although the whole band of committed media, the CongBhajp syndicate, the DCW person Barkha Singh asked for his resignation.

We have been proved to be correct by the subsequent reports of 3 Ugandan women who have complained to the police of forced prostitution.

There seems to be no AAP leader by the name of Raman Swami who stood from Okhla on the EC website--the AAP representative was also a muslim from Okhla--this story is a fabrication of vested interests. How can the media be so irresponsible and defamatory? Maybe because the courts don't work and pursuing such defamation cases would sap AAP of its core purpose of improving governance in Delhi.
This story has been picked up and copy pasted without due diligence across various media outlets--they did the same copycat procedure in the Somnath Bharti case in Khichripur where the main issue of an unaccountable and irresponsible delhi police/home ministry was lost but sensationalism prevailed.

The latest news is that the court has STOPPED the Ugandan women from leaving the country (INDEFINITELY ) till the case is completed (so that THE CORRUPT CAN BROWBEAT THE VICTIMS OF THE SEX RACKET WHO DARED TO COMPLAIN AGAINST THEM). PUSHING A LADY INTO PROSTITUTION IS WORSE THAN RAPE as it means being subjected to rape daily/indefinitely.

There is TOTAL ANARCHY in this country and WE are paying the officials and our representatives through our taxes. THese people in power definitely deserve to be removed from positions of power/responsibility and punished exemplarily. BUT WHO WILL BELL THE CAT among the mice which we have become?
