AAP quotes another survey, claims will sweep Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 1 (IANS) The Aam Aadmi Party Sunday quoted another survey saying they are likely to get 38-50 seats in the Dec 4 Delhi assembly polls.

"It looks like we are heading for a wave of AAP in the coming elections to be held Dec 4," AAP leader Yogendra Yadav said.

The survey gives Congress eight to 14 seats, BJP 11 to 17 seats, and the seat count for AAP is 38 to 50.

It says AAP is likely to get 36 percent of the vote share, BJP 27 percent and Congress 26 percent.

The survey was done for AAP by CICERO associates, interviewing 1,643 people in 17 assembly areas.

The result of my Citizen Call Campaign for Delhi for 01.12.2013, are as follows: Calls made -110, Call matured - 85, Yes votes - 55. No votes - 6 (2 BJP supporters, 2 Cong supporter, 2 annoyed for multiple calls from AAP), Disconnected - 4, Outside Delhi - 8, No Voter card 2, Will Not divulge - 8, Busy can't reply - 1,Called earlier-1

Analysis: If we deduct the Outside Delhi and No Voter Card (8 +2 ), from matured call, we get 75 . Therefore the percentage of Yes votes comes to 73.33 % votes. This is assuming that Disconnected (4), Will not divulge (8) and Busy can't reply (1), called earlier 1 all vote against AAP. There were only 6 NO votes which works out to 8.0 %.

The percentage for AAP is slightly less than my earlier figures of 30.11.2013.

However, this 73.33 % votes should still get AAP 51 seats out of 70 which is near the figure Yogendra Yadav has suggested in the press conference today.

My own results match that of the survey
