Election Dates in 5 states announced
New Delhi, Oct 4 (IANS) The BJP and Congress are "afraid" of the Aam Admi Party (AAP) and are pulling out all stops to ensure that it doesn't come to power, party leader Arvind Kejriwal said Friday.
"It appears that they are fighting the election together against us... they are not attacking each other but only me and my party," Kejriwal told media persons here.
"The BJP and the Congress are putting up posters against me saying that I betrayed Anna (Hazare) but there is not a single Congress poster against (Delhi BJP chief) Vijay Goel or a BJP poster attacking (Chief Minister) Sheila Dikshit," he added.
"Both the parties have a common enemy - AAP and Kejriwal."
He termed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress equally corrupt.
"Both the parties don't mind losing as long as AAP does not win because be it BJP or Congress, if any of them form the government, they will benefit each other as they have been doing for years now," he said.
"They are desperate to ensure that we lose," he added.
Confident of winning at least 47 seats in Delhi, Kejriwal said that the results this time would "amaze" everyone.
"The results will amaze everybody. It will be a government of the people by the people for the people," he said.
Assembly elections will take place in Delhi and Mizoram and Dec 4 and the votes will be counted Dec 8.
Date of elections of the other states have also been announced.
Chattisgarh - 11th and 19th November.
Madhya Pradesh - 25th November.
Rajasthan - 1st December.
This is a once in a life time opportunity for all Indians to drive out the corrupt Congress and BJP and usher in a refreshingly transparent, honest party, the Aam Aadmi Party.
For those of our friends who live in Delhi, I would request you to vote for AAP.
For those living outside Delhi, I would request you to influence your friends and acquaintances to vote for AAP.
You can visit the AAP site http://www.aamaadmiparty.org/ and see for yourself how transparent the party is.
This is a party of the common man and solicit contributions from the general public.
This too can be made directly online through their site.
