INLD seeks probe into sex video of top Congress leader

Chandigarh, April 1 (IANS) Haryana's main opposition party, the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), Monday sought an independent judicial inquiry into an alleged sex video clip of a senior state politician whose son is a senior minister in the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government. A delegation of INLD legislators and party functionaries met Haryana Governor Jagannath Pahadia here Monday and submitted a memorandum demanding an independent judicial inquiry into the alleged sex video.

The video and photographs of the senior politician have gone viral on Internet websites, the INLD alleged.

Seeking the removal of the minister, who is the son of the senior Congress leader seen in the alleged sex video, from the government, the INLD said that this was important for a proper probe to be conducted without political influence.

"The said video depicts the veteran Congress leader in a compromising position with a young female," said the memorandum, submitted by the delegation led by senior INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala and INLD state president Ashok Arora.

Demanding stern action, the INLD pointed out to earlier incidents of alleged rape in the car of former minister Gopal Kanda and later his own involvement in the sexual exploitation and suicide of his own employee, air hostess Geetika Sharma. Kanda is in jail after Geetika committed suicide August last year.

The INLD also pointed out to the 'Apna Ghar' episode in which women and girl inmates of a shelter home were alleged sexually exploited in Rohtak, the home town of chief minister Hooda.

"It was also alleged that three legislators from that district were among other nocturnal VIP visitors to the shelter home. The fact that this exploitation had been taking place over a long period of time speaks volumes about the responsibility of the chief minister," the INLD memorandum said.

Is this a question of the kettle calling the pot black? Aren't the Chauthalas involved in the teacher's recruitment scam and the father, Omprakash is still in jail. Oh! how I wish all these corrupt politicIans were shoved into the sea which was nearest their home - Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea or India Ocean.
